ABOUT MY SETUP

After seeing some of the setups that were out there I found that I wanted to make one a little simpler and keep controls grouped together on what is used most in my opinion. This can be used with or without rudders as roll is used for both and the left/right axis for yaw. If there is a demand for a switch I will create one.

The mouse is disabled during flight due to a glitch. The Space break is both a normal break when pulled back and in essence a parking break if pushed forward keeping it in place even if you get out as far as I can tell.

I have created a nifty little auto landing system using the flaps toggle on the far left of the throttle. When coming in to land first flick the toggle down to engage the landing system, then aim your reticle at the desired landing pad and flick the toggle back to middle. Lastly fly over the landing pad so that it shows on your radar and flick the toggle up to have your ship auto land. If you get back in the ship with the toggle still up and wait for complete startup before resetting to middle it will auto-take off as well!

Make sure you start the game with FLAPS at mid, both ENG OPEN at middle, AUTOPILOT set to ALT/HDG, The TROTTLE FRICTION CONTROL in the middle dead zone, and all other toggles in the down position

INITIAL INSTALL AND SETUP

Current Build: 2.4

Step 1: Download my keyboard settings here to your desktop or other memorable location.

Step 2: Open the file explorer to the Star Citizen Mappings folder. It may vary some but it should be in something like this; This PC > Local Disk (C:) > Program Files (x86) > Cloud Imperium Games > StarCitizen > Public > USER > Controls > Mappings

Step 3: Place the file Th3_Warm0ng3r_Keyboard.xml into the folder then close the file explorer.

Step 4: If you do not have the T.A.R.G.E.T. software from Thrustmaster download and install it from this direct link. The rest of the software and files related to T.A.R.G.E.T. will be in the Thrustmaster's section.

Step 5: Download the Th3_Warm0ng3r Star Citizen Build (Basic).fcf file here and remember where you place it.

FLIGHT CONTROLS

Below are the layouts for my setup, both pictures and links for direct download. I have found it best print these out and have them pinned up while getting used to the controls.
